Recap

An early 2 goal lead slipped the grip of the Flames on the road as they opened the post Christmas schedule with a 3-2 defeat at Manchester Storm.

Just 30 seconds in, Jack Jacome put Flames in front and less than 2 minutes later Josh Nixon had them ahead by a pair, but that would be all the scoring on their side of the ledger.

At 23:41 Brendon Clavelle cut the hosts difference in half. 10 minutes later Loren Ulett pulled them level and seconds later Joseph Nardi had Storm in their first lead of the evening with what turned out to be the winner.

Late in the 3rd, with no  change to the score, Flames went the powerplay then nearly 40 seconds of 5 on 3 before finishing the game 6 on 4 then 5 with Justin Fazio off for an extra skater, but they couldn’t find the handle on a 3rd, and the game closed on the one goal loss for the visiting Spectrum side.

Fazio made 13 saves on 16 shots against Even Weninger for Storm who was 33 for 35.
