In a netminding dual, Taz Burman edged out Ben Bowns to allow an early 3^rd period Josh Waller goal to lift Flames to a 1-0 shutout win over the visiting Cardiff Devils.

Bowns amd Burman shared an even split of 16 shots across a scoreless opening frame then each retaining the clean sheet through the 2^nd with Bowns turning away 12 more while Burman viewed an additional 9 his way.

The winning goal came just under 5 minutes into the 3^rd off the stick of former Devil Waller to give Flames a lead while both netminders held their opponents off the sheet the rest of the way.

Burman finished his shutout with 24 saves while Bowns had just the single blemish on 25 shots.
