Recap

Cole Ully had a natural Hat Trick in less than 7 minutes in the 2nd period, but Flames handed back a 3-1 lead late in the final set to fall 4-3 at Fife Flyers.

After a scoreless opening frame where Taz Burman was perfect on 9 shots while Shane Owen for Fife steered aside all 12 his way, each team got on the board early in the 2nd

The hosts opened their account at 24:34 through Keaton Jameson, but Ully replied less than a minute later to level at a goal each.  His 2nd of the night at 30:38 was followed by the completion of his 3 goal feat just 39 seconds after that to put Flames 2 goals to the good with 20 minutes to go.

Things unravelled for the visitors, however, inside the final 10 minutes with a pair of goals to bring Flyers level thanks to Justin Ducharme at 51:30 then Keaton’s 2nd of the night just over a minute later.  A Flames powerplay, and a chance to get back in front failed to convert, and just seconds after Flyers returned to 5 skaters they went back in front with what turned out to be the winner off the stick of Mason Alderson.

Burman made 22 saves on 26 shots while Owen had 38 on 41.
