Recap
Cole Ully had a natural Hat Trick in less than 7 minutes in the 2nd period, but Flames handed back a 3-1 lead late in the final set to fall 4-3 at Fife Flyers. After a scoreless opening frame where Taz Burman was perfect on 9 shots while Shane Owen for Fife steered aside all 12 his way, each team got on the board early in the 2nd. The hosts opened their account at 24:34 through Keaton Jameson, but Ully replied less than a minute later to level at a goal each. His 2nd of the night at 30:38 was followed by the completion of his 3 goal feat just 39 seconds after that to put Flames 2 goals to the good with 20 minutes to go. Things unravelled for the visitors, however, inside the final 10 minutes with a pair of goals to bring Flyers level thanks to Justin Ducharme at 51:30 then Keaton’s 2nd of the night just over a minute later. A Flames powerplay, and a chance to get back in front failed to convert, and just seconds after Flyers returned to 5 skaters they went back in front with what turned out to be the winner off the stick of Mason Alderson.
