Recap
Josh Waller scored 31 seconds into the 3rd period to break up the tie, and Justin Fazio turned away 40 of 41 shots to help lift the Flames to a 2-1 home ice win over the visiting Nottingham Panthers. A 13th minute 5 on 3 poweprlay goal by Matt Alvaro set Flames to a lead, but at 15:40 Matthew Marcinew had the teams level to begin the middle set despite Flames holding a 15-10 period shot advantage. In the 2nd, the shot count evened out a little more with Flames edging it in the frame 13-11, but neither side could deliver the go ahead goal across the stretch.
