Recap

With Flames chasing Manchester for a top half table position, it was Storm on home ice who all but put that spot out of reach with a 4-1 win over Spectrum’s men.

A 9th minute Tyler Preziuso strike set Flames to a lead, but a late period Brady Gilmour powerplay reply levelled before Brandon Cutler inside the last 25 seconds on another powerplay meant Flames would begin the 2nd a goal adrift.

Storm extended the lead just over 2 minutes into the middle set thanks to Loren Ulett and they carried the 2 goal margin into 3rd

Desperate for scoring to get back in it as time was winding down, Fazio went to the bench with more than 2 minutes left for an extra skater, but under a minute from time an errant Flames pass found the empty cage leaving Tyler Hinam credited with a 4th to close out the Storm win.

Justin Fazio conceded 3 goals on 30 shots while Drew DeRidder was good on all but one of 41 his way.
