Recap
Less than a minute into overtime, Charlie Curti bagged the winner to lift the Flames to a 3-2 road win over Glasgow Clan. Justin Fazio was the busier of the two netminders in a scoreless opening period with the Canadian making 13 saves while his counterpart at the other end, Liam Soulière, was perfect on the 7 that came his way. At the 30:30 mark, Clan finally solved Fazio thanks to Mick Messner, but Tyler Preziuso’s first professional goal levelled it at a goal each about 5 minutes from period time. Before the 3rd was halfway through, Cade Neilson nudged Clan back in front, but Cole Ully squared it again just 32 seconds later to set the stage for the 3 on 3 tiebreaker and Curti’s 2nd OT winner at Clan this season. Fazio made 41 saves on 43 shots while Soulière was 21 for 23. Gallery |
