Recap
Mathieu Gosselin bagged a Hat Trick, but Fife Flyers jumped out to a 1st period 2 goal lead and never fully gave up their advantage the rest of the way during a 4-3 Flames loss to the visiting Fife Flyers. The opening period goals for Fife came from Logan Neilson and Ethan Somoza, at 6:40 and 12:26 respectively, to secure a multi goal cushion at the break. Gosselin cut the deficit in half during a 25th minute powerplay. A Keaton Jameson answer in the back half of the frame re-stored the 2 goal difference, but Gosselin’s 2nd late in the frame pulled them within a single. Justin Ducharme put the visitors back up a pair when he netted 7 minutes after re-start. A quick answer with Gosselin’s 3rd goal of the night again had Flames just a goal away inside the last 10 minutes, but even skating with 6 men with their net empty inside the final couple of minutes, there would be no equalizer before time ran out.
