Manchester storm scored with 52 seconds left in overtime to take a 3-2 Cup win over the visiting Flames. Just 29 seconds into the contest, Gary Haden set Storm to a lead, but a late period Mathieu Gosselin strike levelled it at a goal each. In the 2nd, Justin Fazio for Flames, and Drew DeRidder in Manchester’s net traded saves to keep the count at a goal each. Just 54 seconds after re-start Gosselin’s 2nd, shorthanded, put Flames in front but a powerplay reply by Haden, also his 2nd of the evening, was the final goal of regulation to eventually force an overtime period. Flames failed to convert about 90 seconds of a 4 on 3 powerplay, but when they returned to 3 skaters each it was Dennis Busby recorded the last minute winner.
