An exceedingly short benched Flames lineup took to home ice Wednesday night and Sheffield Steelers scored 3 unanswered, including a pair 40 seconds apart, in the middle frame to do most of their damage on the way to a 5-1 win over Spectrum’s men. 

A 13^th minute Stephen Harper powerplay goal was the only scoring of the opening set and the visitors went to the middle frame holding that edge. 

In the 2^nd, Clifford Pu netted at 27:54. Mitchell Heard at 29:07 on a powerplay and then at 29:47 Robert Dowd expanded the advantage they carried into the final set.

In the 48^th minute Derek Gentile widened the gap to 5. Flames did get on the board just over 6 minutes from time through Cole Ully to pull the final count a bit closer without changing the ultimate result.
