Recap
Flames were unable to hang on to a 3rd period 2-1 lead as Dundee Stars scored 3 straight in the final 18 minutes to secure a 4-2 win over the travelling Spectrum side. The visitors had the only goal of the opening set thanks to Cole Ully ahead of the period midway mark. Morten Jurgens levelled in the 30th minute, but making his Flames 2-way call up debut Elliot Lewis netted at 31:55 and that goal stood as the difference to begin the 3rd. Less than 3 minutes into the final set, Otto Nieminen squared it again and just about halfway through the frame Keanu Yamamoto had Stars in front for the first time. A little more than 6 minutes from close they put the game away with a Matthew Boudens strike and followed it with a late Matt Berry empty netter. Taz Burman started for Flames and made 26 saves on 30 shots against Emil Kruse who turned away 23 of 25. Gallery |
