The 25 year old iced in 57 games, including playoffs, while bagging 18 goals and 36 points during his first Magnus League term after moving up from Cholet where he iced the 19-20 and 20-21 campaigns. During his 2nd season at Cholet, the native of Santa Clarita, California led the league in goals with 14 and earned a France2 All-Star team nod. He completed the pair of seasons with 29 points over the Covid impacted 28 game stay.
“I'm very excited to play in England,” said Tait, “and I look forward to experiencing the culture in Guildford.”
Prior to his overseas debut, Tait spent four seasons at NCAA Providence College. While with the Friars, the 5’10”, 175lb skater appeared in 138 games and registered 14 goals and 16 assists.
“Ryan is an excellent skater and will fit right in with the kind of up pace kind of game we try to play,” explained Head Coach Paul Dixon.
“He had an excellent season last year in the top French league, and while there really started to demonstrate an offensive side to his game.”
“Having spoken with him, he has a great attitude. He sounds just like the kind of character we are always looking to add into our dressing room, and we are really looking forward to getting him here in September.”
