Talbot returns for 2nd season Former GB U18 forward Sam Talbot has agreed a 2nd season at Flames. The 23 year old was hampered by injury for much of his 1st term under Spectrum lights, skating in 49 games while recording 3 goals and 2 assists. He iced the previous pair of terms at NIHL Milton Keynes Lightning. Across that stretch, he had 74 goals and 153 points in 103 starts and also made his EIHL debut with Coventry Blaze in 22-23 where he appeared in 2 games. “It was a pretty frustrating season for Sam getting hurt and spending so much time off the ice. When he returned he was not able to get back to where he was when his season was interrupted because it was the kind of thing that just takes so much time to be not just on the ice but to be 100% while you are on the ice.” “Having said that, when he was fully healthy there was a lot to like about his game as he transitioned to EIHL level. There is a lot of upside that we have not seen yet and hopefully he can get in a full season and get a good opportunity to demonstrate what we know are his full capabilities.” “He is healthy now and we are really looking forward to getting started again with Sam in the lineup.” |
