Brown signs on for 3rd term
Canadian Defenceman Travis Brown will return for a new season. The 6’2”, 200lb blueliner iced in 64 games this past season where he had 6 goals and 24 points and was selected for his first national team experience when he will ice for GB at the upcoming World Championships. The 31 year old was a 5th round NHL draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks and opened his pro account at St John’s IceCaps in the AHL in 2015-2016. He spent the bulk of his North American minor pro career at ECHL Brampton Beast, Wichita Thunder and Indy Fuel ahead of 3 seasons in Denmark and another in Norway in the lead up to his UK debut at Belfast Giants in 2023-2024. Head Coach Paul Dixon commented on the signing: “He definitely earned a call with the GB national team once his eligibility situation changed to allow that, and we wish him well at the upcoming event and look forward to seeing him back here when the new season begins.” |
