Recap

In a scoring challenged league match finale, Flames scored a pair of goals in the 3rd period to recover a slim deficit and take a 2-1 win over the visiting Manchester Storm to finish the campaign in a top half, 5th place spot.

In the 1st, 12 saves from Justin Fazio and 9 by Evan Weninger for Storm ensured the period would close still on a scoreless draw.

It looked like middle set might produce the same outcome, but with a little more than 4 minutes left, Tyler Hinam broke the seal on the evening and the visitors took the slim lead to the 3rd

Less than 4 minutes into the last frame, Flames levelled thanks to Tyler Preziuso and near the halfway mark of the set Mathieu Gosselin had Spectrum’s men in their first lead of the contest and that one eventually held up as the winner.

Fazio finished 33 for 34 on shots while Weninger was 39 of 41.
