Flames have added Forward Ethan Strang to the roster that will kick off the new campaign.  The 6’1”, 180lb Canadian completed last season at ECHL South Carolina Stingrays with 3 goals and 6 points in 13 starts after a 27 point haul in 28 appearances with USports MacEwan University earlier in the term.

The 23 year old iced a pair of University seasons that yielded 21 goals and the same number of assists in 52 games.  The native of Cochrane, Alberta spent 2018 through 2022 in the AJHL with Grand Prairie Storm. His best season was his last with 37 goals and 58 points in 55 outings to complete his 177 game stay with 110 points from 63 goals and 47 assists.

“Ethan is our youngest player, but he has had some success even in his short pro debut at the end of last season,” said Paul Dixon.

“He has proven himself to be offensively productive after he has settled in to anywhere he has been.”

“This will be his first time away from North America and playing predominantly on the larger ice surface but he is a very good skater so his adjustment to that should not take too long.”

“We are looking forward to seeing Ethan arrive and get started in Flames gear.”
