Glover returns Canadian forward Austin Glover returns to the roster. The native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan spent the bulk of last season with Spectrum’s side, scoring 5 goals and 18 points in 30 games before injury ended his season in February. He joined Flames after the 22-23 season from French Magnus League side Anglet where he played 33 games while registering 5 goals and 22 points, tacking on 3 goals and 4 assists in 9 French Cup and Relegation contests. Ahead of his pro debut, the 6’2”, 190lb skater iced 5 seasons with University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. The 28 year old, in 85 Canada West Conference appearances, had 14 goals and 45 points. Glover played Junior in the Western Hockey League with Kelowna Rockets, Prince Albert Raiders and Red Deer Rebels from 2012-2013 through the 2016-2017 season and iced with the Canada Western U17 side during his first full stint with the Rockets. His best term was his last where he had 22 goals, 36 assists for 58 points in 69 starts. He finished his development time with 224 appearances, 51 goals and 146 points. “Austin joined in October last season as Injured reserve cover after we had a rough start and he was a very impactful in helping us get the season turned around,” said Paul Dixon. “Unfortunately, in a cruel ironic twist he eventually ended up on injured reserve with a pretty severe injury, and it was a big hit to our lineup at that time.
