Crocock and McAdam not returning
Flames Defenceman Mike Crocock and netminder Eamon McAdam will not return for the new season. Crocock spent 3+ terms in Flames colours, arriving midway through the 21-22 set, ultimately playing 237 games while posting 12 goals and 67 points. McAdam debuted at Spectrum to start the 22-23 term and iced a little short of 7000 minutes, recording a 91 save percentage and a 2.90 goals against average with 58 wins against 51 defeats. “Mike was a steady presence back there for us and we could never fault him for his professionalism across his contribution to the club”, explained Head Coach Paul Dixon. “He gave us a lot of consistency from night to night and showed a lot of durability being able to get in there game after game.” “Eamon, who was here nearly as long, was a big part of our netminding group and I believe started more than half of our games in every season so was able to chew up a lot of minutes for us over that stretch giving us a chance to win on a lot of nights.” “The pair of them helped us get within 2 points of a league title a couple of seasons back and both were a big part of getting us to a cup final so they unquestionably had impacts on their respective roles.” “With that said, we have made decisions to really change the team mix and try a new direction.” “They have been good servants to the club, and we truly wish both of them well as they move on to their next opportunities.” |
